Service terms
Terms of Service
Effective and last updated:
Current scope: this is an informational developer website for CatalogNexus. It offers no paid subscriptions, checkout, public account registration, or public API access. Descriptions of integrations explain the project and its design commitments; they do not grant access to an unlaunched feature.
1. Agreement and eligibility
These terms govern your use of catalognexus.com and any CatalogNexus utility expressly made available under these terms. Use the service only if you can enter a binding agreement and are at least 18. If acting for an organization, you must have authority to bind it. Where enforceable, using the service constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, discontinue use. Mandatory consumer protections and privacy rights continue to apply.
2. Service and access
CatalogNexus develops automated catalog aggregation, price/data pipelines, and developer utilities. Available features and permissions depend on the specific integration and provider approval. This website does not promise a particular integration, production API, data coverage, uptime, or launch date. Access to third-party data requires separate authorization and may be limited, revoked, or unavailable.
These terms do not authorize charges. Any future paid offering would require separate, clearly disclosed pricing and your affirmative agreement; visiting this site creates no payment obligation.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the website for lawful informational and developer purposes. You must not:
- Access data or systems without permission, impersonate another person, or misrepresent your authorization.
- Bypass authentication, CAPTCHA, robots or access restrictions, API quotas, or other technical safeguards.
- Distribute malware, exploit vulnerabilities, disrupt availability, or overload the service.
- Submit secrets, unlawfully obtained data, or content that infringes privacy, intellectual property, or other rights.
- Sell or disclose another person’s credentials or API tokens, or use personal data for unlawful surveillance or discrimination.
- Automate unauthorized login, purchasing, checkout, or transactions through CatalogNexus.
Report security concerns to support without testing beyond your authorization or exposing other users’ information.
4. API permissions, rate limits, and third-party terms
Use documented and permitted API methods, maintain required authorization, and comply with each source’s current developer terms, quotas, caching rules, attribution requirements, and restrictions on redistribution. Respect rate-limit responses and retry instructions. Do not rotate accounts, tokens, identities, or network routes to evade restrictions.
If an integration becomes available, authorize only data you are entitled to share and revoke access when it is no longer appropriate. Provider-specific obligations remain binding; CatalogNexus cannot grant rights a provider has withheld. We may disable an integration to honor revoked permissions, deletion requirements, legal obligations, or platform rules. Google API data is subject to the Limited Use commitments in our Privacy Policy. Google, Meta, Reddit, X, and retailers do not sponsor or endorse this project merely because they are mentioned.
5. Data rights and intellectual property
You retain rights in materials you lawfully provide. If you request processing, you grant only the permission necessary to fulfill that request, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable provider restrictions. These terms do not authorize selling personal information or using Google user data for generalized AI training.
CatalogNexus website branding and original materials belong to their respective rights holders. You may view the site and use explicitly provided materials for their intended purpose. No broader license to third-party catalog data, logos, images, descriptions, or software is implied. A public source repository does not by itself grant an open-source license. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses.
6. Catalog accuracy and output limitations
Prices, availability, promotions, identifiers, and descriptions can change or contain errors. Outputs may be delayed or incomplete. Verify material information directly with the original provider or merchant before acting. Listings are informational and are not offers to sell, financial advice, or guarantees that a price or product will be available. Any disclosed affiliate relationship does not change these limitations.
7. Privacy and security
Our Privacy Policy explains collection, sharing, retention, Google Limited Use, and deletion requests. Do not send passwords, API keys, tokens, payment card information, or sensitive personal data to our support address. If future features require credentials, use only their expressly designated secure authorization flow.
8. Availability, changes, and termination
We may maintain, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, including when a provider changes access or policies. We may restrict abusive or unlawful use and will provide notice where practical and legally required. You may stop using the service at any time. Revoking provider access and requesting data deletion are separate actions; see the Privacy Policy. Sections that logically survive termination, including data rights, disclaimers, and lawful liability limits, continue to apply.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, utilities, and outputs are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee third-party API approval, OAuth verification, affiliate acceptance, secure operation of third-party services, or error-free results. These exclusions do not limit warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CatalogNexus and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue, opportunities, or data arising from use of the service. Aggregate liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amounts you paid CatalogNexus for the relevant service in the preceding 12 months.
These limits apply only where lawful. They do not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be excluded, death or personal injury where applicable law prohibits exclusion, or any other non-excludable liability. Some jurisdictions do not permit these limitations, and your mandatory rights prevail.
11. Disputes and applicable law
Contact support first so we can try to resolve a concern. This does not prevent you from seeking urgent relief, filing a regulatory complaint, or exercising a legal right. Applicable law and court jurisdiction are determined by the laws that apply to you and the service operator, including mandatory consumer protections. These terms impose no mandatory arbitration agreement or class-action waiver.
12. Updates, severability, and contact
We will publish changes here with an updated date and provide additional notice where required. Changes apply prospectively to the extent permitted by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. Failure to enforce a provision does not waive it.
Service operator: CatalogNexus. Website: catalognexus.com. Support and legal notices: support@catalognexus.com. Our initial-response SLA is under 48 hours; investigation and resolution may take longer. Statutory deadlines prevail.
